The Government of Manitoba recognizes the essential importance of the active offer of French language services.<\/p>\n
The entirety of the French Language Services Policy of the Secr\u00e9tariat aux affaires francophones<\/em> is based on \u201cmeasures taken by public bodies [in bilingually designated regions] to ensure that French language services are evident [apparent, visible], readily available, easily accessible, and publicized, and that the quality of these services be comparable to those services offered in English.”<\/p>\n For example, the staff of designated bilingual and Francophone establishments, regional health offices and social service agencies in Winnipeg and in rural areas, explicitly let people know that they can use French and put them at ease by doing so. In fact, the government wishes to continue to promote the development of this community, which contributes enormously to the development of the province.
